Legal bases (EEA/UK users)
Where GDPR applies, we process data based on: (1) contract — to deliver the service you subscribed to; (2) legitimate interests — security, fraud prevention, and product improvement; (3) consent — where required for optional communications; and (4) legal obligation.
Service providers
We share information with trusted processors only as needed to operate metriq:

OAuth & third-party platforms
When you connect Meta, Google, Shopify, or other integrations, we request read-only access via OAuth. We cannot create, edit, or delete campaigns, ads, or store data on your behalf unless a feature explicitly requires it and you authorize it. Platform data is used solely to provide metriq analytics to your account.
Cookies & tracking
The marketing site may use cookies and similar technologies for basic functionality, analytics, and tag management. The metriq application may use session cookies and product analytics to maintain your login and improve the product. You can control browser cookies through your device settings; disabling cookies may limit certain features.
Data retention
We retain account and connected data while your subscription is active. After cancellation, data is retained for up to 90 days to allow export or reactivation, then deleted or anonymized unless a longer period is required by law or for legitimate business needs (e.g., billing records).
Billing and tax records may be retained as required by applicable law, typically up to 7 years.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including TLS encryption in transit and encryption at rest for stored data. Access to production systems is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
International transfers
metriq is based in the United States. If you access the service from outside the U.S., your information may be processed in the U.S. and other countries where our providers operate, with appropriate safeguards where required.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know what we collect and the right to opt out of sale — we do not sell personal information.
To exercise your rights, email [email protected]. We will verify your request and respond within applicable legal timeframes.
Children
metriq is a business service not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
